ALIPAC Open Letter To Lou Dobbs: Freedoms in America
Lou Dobbs:
The recent attacks on you and your job at CNN are proof of how effective and influential you have become. Every American should express their thanks to you for getting information to the public that other biased sources refuse to warn people about.
You and your shows have been leaders in the battle to get accurate information out and to have a truly informed electorate in America.
However, we hope that you have not backed off any issues or tamed down your coverage of topics like illegal immigration.
The multi-million dollar smear organizations that are attacking you and all 1st Amendment rights in America today may feel that you will back down or tame your coverage to their liking if they push you.
You need to give'em hell Lou and teach them that when they push you, they get more of what they don't like!
We all know that La Raza, the Southern Poverty Law Center, George Soros's Media Matters, and the Associated Press are attacking you because they dislike your opposition to illegal immigration and amnesty for illegals. We all know they are attacking on behalf of President Barack Obama. We all know they are trying to get you off the air or suppressed before filing their Amnesty legislation.
Today we are launching our entire national network in your defense. While it is an honor to defend you in this matter due to your relentless dedication to the American public, we are fighting for a much larger issue.
This attack on you is an attack on all First Amendment rights in America and it is clear that these groups seek to suppress freedom of speech, freedom of the press, and the right of Americans to seek redress of our grievances with our own government.
I want to encourage you to take this debate right where it needs to go! Take the conversation to American freedoms! Take the fight to Obama instead of his proxies! Take this conversation to your stances on illegal immigration.
It may be that the Open Borders Lobby groups want to attack you on an Obama issue because they know how strong you are on immigration enforcement issues. It could be their hope that Obama's fading and residual support levels will be enough to damage you or take your job. You present a unique challenge to their power because you are on CNN and so many Democrats and Obama supporters watch your show.
Our press releases are going out and our activists are rushing to your aid in cyberspace and on the talk radio airwaves. We will update the fan site at www.loudobbsforpresident.org to reflect this new effort in your defense.
We will all be watching and listening to you intently this week, Lou. Please show these anti-American forces that when you are pushed you step forward, not backward.
If they take you down, Lou, then many of us will be next and we will work hard to make sure that all of your competitors and contemporaries understand that clearly.
